[Open Post] Yup! I'm about, doin' a bit of research...
We're not entirely sure what happened to the Ninth regeneration of the Doctor during the earthquake: we do know that before he found her, the TARDIS vanished off the lawn (an event witnessed by Jack Harkness, who at least had the good sense to not dive after her and hang on like a barnacle like he did that one time which resulted in the TARDIS running to the literal end of the universe to get away from the fixed point in time on her back), and we suspect that the madness caused a small sub-pocket to open up and pull in Nine. Not something that pleases him (getting pulled into a sub-pocket, that is) and once the house restored itself -- funny thing, that, a regenerating house; some manner of technology or physics at work here? -- and so he's been looking into that, digging around for some generator that could trigger it or a book in library that might explain it.
There's a lot about this place he doesn't like: he's been stuck in places like this before, and it annoyed him to no end. At least Jack is here, but even that is a cause for concern: something's happened to the cocky fellow (no, not *that*, the other thing, the fixed-point-in-time-ness thing), and it dismays him...
Even still, people to see, discoveries to be made, conversations to be had, and he welcomes it all.
Been a while since Nine was out and about, but he's here. Looking for a Paul, a Genie and a Delilah, or most anybody to chat with.
