Time lost and days forgotten
Pack slung over his shoulder, a breathtaking young man with moon-white hair runs up the front steps of the mansion, like someone who’s excited to come home after a brief vacation. Halfway up, he stops, eyes widening and enthusiasm cooling as he realizes that this isn’t quite where he expected to be. Things are different.
Well, that’s nothing to worry about, not specifically. The mansion always shifts and changes. Even with so much change, it’s still essentially the same place. People will have come and gone and their memories will have changed. He’s accustomed to that. Friends loved and lost and forgotten.
To him, it feels like a week. But the changes visible at a glance chill his heart, and make him worry that he’s been gone for far longer. Even so, as long as he has a room, and as long as there are people, Alcuin will make friends and feel at home. Pushing the front door open, he steps inside.

He is originally taken from where his canon ends in the book, but he has a couple years of character development after that (mostly his learning to bake and healing some of his emotional scars, so that mine is an Alcuin who was settled in the mansion he used to know. He and I know that things have changed, and that this is no longer quite the same mansion, but there are enough similarities to make us feel at home. Please feel free to ask, publicly or privately, why I’ve made some of the decisions I’ve made in how I play him. I believe that the Alcuin I play is true to the original books, but some of the ways that he’s grown and healed are a bit surprising compared to his original character.
