Will send along Jack and possibly Grell: we promise they'll both behave. Anyone else??cute_shinigamiOctober 4 2012, 15:56:49 UTC
Cal might find he has company, in the form of a tall, slim fellow in black, his pretty face turned upward toward the flaming maples and elms around him, his distinctive violet eyes taking in the brilliant foliage overhead.
Autumn is an unsettling time for Tsuzuki: so many hard memories between the first time he crossed paths with Muraki in mid-September and the firestorm in Kyoto at the end of October (to say nothing of what happened to his family so many ages ago), and so many good ones as well: particularly meeting Hisoka...
Cal is slightly hesitant to ask the tall, almost girlishly pretty man about where he is, as far as he's concerned, he's still a stranger in a strange place.
He won't have to worry about breaking the ice: the tall, pretty fellow turns toward him, smiling, friendly. "Hey there, you just find your way here?" he asks, open, cheerful. "Welcome to the Mansion!"
Jack has been asking himself why it's called morning sickness, when it's apt to hit a person any time of the day: he's been keeping as active as he can, keeping watch and roving the edges of the woods, but the nausea and the hormones are cutting into his energy level and making him cranky.
But not cranky enough to avoid turning to get a second look at the newcomer as he passes by, perhaps in a hallway. "Hey there, you findin' your way around the joint okay?" he asks.
He's rather young, and more than a little androgynous looking if one looks hard enough at him. Also his sway tells of something, as if he's 'practicing' to walk manly. Cal remains silent for a while. This is still a new place, with all sorts of people he still doesn't know.
"Well, if you need a guide, I'd be more than happy to offer my deep knowledge of the Mansion," he says, playfully but in earnest. And no double entendres for a change, though if Cal was about four-five years older, they'd be there in earnest. "Captain Jack Harkness, at your service."
Should Cal venture into the library, he might hear someone quiddling about among the poetry books. And they don't sound too thrilled.
"Oh, there *has* to be a book of *romantic* poetry in this gods-foresaken library," an in-the-cracks sort of countertenor voice mutters, and there might be the sound of books being thumped from one shelf to another.
Of course since this is Cal, he'll never be too far from a place packed with books. He's trying to pick out some for some comfort reading to ease the nervousness of suddenly arriving in this unfamiliar place. Until he notices that voice. Cal may find the voice and most likely the first androgynous person he's ever seen. And Grell does make quite an impression. Hir hair is fire truck red, dressed like a flamboyant dandy and sie's whippet thin. He looks in awe for a while.
This most singular-looking person peers up at Cal. "Hmm? Oh, I wasn't seeking help, but I would very much *appreciate* it, since you were so kind to offer it," sie replies. The odd figure looks up at the shelves. "I was looking for a book of *poetry*, particularly of a *romantic* bend."
Have a Melou. He's still grumpier than usual, and may be mean to Cal just because he shares a name with a certain Leandros brother who he doesn't like.
Well thats a stupid reason to not like anyone, Meta!Cal goes. When Cal S. goes to the porch, he may spot a grumpy-looking young man. He doesn't say much for now.
Have someone else who is a bit nicer than Melou. Tom's on a couch in the main room, looking bored. There's no shortage of fabric at the Mansion, but he can only spend so much time sewing, and there is a total lack of television and video games. Plenty of books, but he's never been much of a reader.
Hence, boredom. He wouldn't mind having somebody to chat to.
Cal may walk around the house trying to get a feel about it. If someone depended on technology in this place, they would be for a lack of better words... screwed. But Cal wasn't even much of a television watcher anyway.
Tom may find a well-dressed teen around his age sitting next to him on the couch.
"Hi," Tom says. He appreciates Cal being well-dressed. He likes it when people have interesting clothes. "Don't think I've seen you round before. I'm Tom."

"You're wearing a forties era army greatcoat..." Yes, Cal is a bit of a history nerd.

He may actually frown a bit, romance was never his favorite subject in books, even as a girl.
"Not my thing, but I know my way around a library..."
