Gingalain's feeling pretty good about himself.
It's not that long ago that he got married, and the novelty of it hasn't worn off yet. He still hardly knows his wife, but she is pretty. And she gave him fifteen castles. He tugs his horse's reins to direct it down a fork in the track, and thinks vaguely about how he should visit all of them, when he finds the time.
He's not riding to visit any of his castles today. He's not riding anywhere in particular, actually. He's just wandering the forest trails, to see what kind of adventure he might come across. And, in the meantime, enjoying the scenery. He's been travelling for a while when said scenery starts to change. The trees are getting taller, there's something about them he doesn't recognise, and he doesn't think he's ridden far enough to have reached a part of the woods that would be unfamiliar. It doesn't worry him, though. He enjoys having something new to look at, and it simply doesn't occur to him that something might be wrong.
If someone's out deep in the woods (Gingalain's not close enough to the house to be able to see it, yet), they might spot a knight riding his horse along one of the narrow paths. He's fully armed, carrying a sword, his shield, and there's an axe hanging at his saddle bow. He's wearing armour, including (naturally) a helmet that obscures enough of his face that even his family members would probably have trouble recognising him.
He's riding along quite contentedly. He's even smiling, not that anyone would be able to see it.
Name: Gingalain, aka Libeaus Desconus, The Fair Unknown, etc.
Fandom: Arthurian Legend
Media: Literature :3
Typist:
momentsplinter Other relevant info: He's taken from shortly after events in Libeaus Desconus, aka before Agravain and Mordred exposed Lancelot and Guinevere's affair and caused lots of drama and before half his family got killed. He knows nothing about any of that.
Also, he's half fae, and permission is preemptively granted for any supernatural or psychic types who would be able to pick up on that to do so ^^
