Inter-dimensional travel was never pretty. Damian had read reports of being sucked into an alternate reality where everything that didn't matter was the same and the few things that did were altered in some key, disturbing fashion. And considering his line of work, he had always figured it would only be a matter of time until he experienced the unpleasantry. Of course he would survive it, beating out (or up) anyone foolish enough to think him a target, and return home satisfyingly stained with the blood of his foes.
Grayson might disapprove, as might his father. Tt. Unnecessary force is what makes this job enjoyable. The sooner Grayson understands that, the sooner he might stop trying to fill the vacuum of his weakness with idiotic quips and puns unfitting for one who once took up the mantle of the Dark Knight.
Damian isn't holding his breath.
Although he is now, as he's sucked through the swirl of a portal and spat out the other side, ears ringing and bile rising in his throat from the short journey. He takes a moment to get his bearings, but there aren't many to get. Just an open lawn and gates of some kind but Damian draws a sharp batarang from his belt before scaling a tree at his left, silent but easy to see in his brightly colored red, yellow, and green costume. The air smells and tastes clean. So not Gotham. This isn't where he is supposed to be, that is clear enough. What is unclear was . . . everything else.
Irritating.

He may have just turned eleven, but he has the ego, temper, and arrogance of someone much older. (Still, though, the maturity of an eleven year old.)
