The door pulls open from within and there's a tall fellow in a military greatcoat with a peaked cap tilted rakishly over one ear, armed with a weird looking bow.
"Who goes there?" he says, in a would-be menacing voice, though the mischievous grin crossing his handsome face is likely to undercut the effect.
Sora is taken aback by the door opening on it's own, as well as the new face that appears before him. The fact that he's with a weapon in his hand isn't exactly comforting, either, but the grin on his face leads the brunette to believe that he might not have entirely bad intentions.
"Uh .. Sora! My name, it's Sora." He takes one step back, taking his hand off the doorknob; instead, he uses it to point to himself. "I wasn't gonna cause trouble for you or anything, I'm just .. I got lost, somehow, and I wound up here."
"Awww, did I spook you? I was just messin' with yah," he says, reassuringly, slinging the bow onto his back as proof that his intentions are peaceful. "Captain Jack Harkness, of the Night Watch, at yer service. Welcome to the Mansion!"
"Spook? No way!" He waves a hand and puts on a half-grin, but it's obvious that he was at least a little bit unnerved.
"Then it's nice to meet you, I guess." There's a pause as he mulls over the welcome, and he looks past the Captain and into the mansion before adding, "So .. any idea how I would've got here?"
If Sora should happen to explore down by the lake, he'll find Hisoka there. There is a narrow, sandy, pebbly beach, but beyond it there is a lot of shore vegetation, including a marshy area full of reeds. Hisoka has built a long, narrow dock that extends into deep enough water to tie up a couple of boats there all summer long. He is just nailing the last boards in place, out at the far end of the dock. He's in tank top and jeans, and has a bandana tied around his forehead for a sweatband, which he needs. It's hot today.
He does make his way down to the lake -- though, he stumbles onto it completely by accident. The surprise he feels when he comes across it only doubles when he sees the other man at work on what looked like a dock. In a strange way, it reminds him of when he and his friends were kids, and they tried to build a raft to get off of their island.
Intrigued, to say the least, he approaches the man -- though he's careful not to get in the way of his work. "What're you working on?"
If Sora comes out into the main room later, he might spot a young woman sitting on a couch, reading. Her son (who's almost two years old, now) is sitting on her lap.
Sora does come back into the main room when he's done exploring what lays outside the house. He spots her upon entering, and he's unsure as to whether or not he should say hello since she's busy reading with her son.
He does decide to in the end, though. "Uh .. hi there!"
Sora decides to leave the mansion at some point for fresh air -- or maybe to get a better look around the outside. He hasn't actually seen everything that the Mansion Grounds has to offer, and the stable's included in all that. He stops short on the porch when he sees Lou and the horse; suffice it to say he's a little curious, being that he's never really seen one so close up before. He doesn't think Pegasus counts in that, either.
"No -- that's not what I meant at all." Sora shakes his head. "It's just .. Well, I've never seen one this close before. A horse, I mean!" He came from the Islands, and they didn't have horses for obvious reasons. He scratches at his head before he introduces himself.

He looks busy, but he wouldn't mind company.
