The good news: I passed my (computer-based) media specialist exam today. :) Hooray!
The bad news: I'm gonna call Dairy Queen in Gainesville, FL out. That's right. Like Steven Colbert, I'm not taking this un-American DQ experience sitting down.
I thought I'd celebrate with a cone at the DQ since the last time I went there it turned into a disaster. This time I did get the right size cone but it was vanilla and not chocolate ice cream (apparently saying, "I want CHOCOLATE ice cream with a dipped cone" - super extreme emphasis on the chocolate can be forgotten about two minutes later).
But after you've waited for almost 15 minutes to put in your order (Three workers there!) and another 10 to get your order, as well as watched every single other person get the wrong order you quickly realize that it might be a good idea to just settle for whatever ice cream you do get...
Tsk, tsk DQ. Tsk. Tsk.
Also took a trip to Target. I had that $5 gift card burning a hole in my wallet, lol. It's the time of year when they set up for back to school for the university so there are all sorts of cheap household goods out. I bought a $.99 toilet scrubber brush, a bath mat, dish washer brush, and a cheap bathroom trash can to bring with me to the new place. I have to leave some things here so the bathroom is useable if I return here for a night at any point in time. Plus, the stuff in my bathroom is pretty old now and I don't want to drag it with me.
BTW, the color of things in my next bathroom... Teal. Totally jewel tone teal (meaning a deeper, richer not-electric teal) and a soft white. I'm tempering the shock of jewel tone teal with the white and/or clear items.
Lol, in thinking of it, it sort of sounds like my apartment is going to look like a bad 80s music video with a teal/white bathroom and black/red/aqua kitchen items. I suppose it doesn't help that my bed has both yellow and navy blue sheets with a shiny green coverlet. And my bedside lamp is made of neon green rice paper and steel... -_-;
I think because I know that I'll be living in a place with white walls that I really am drawn to buying items in bright colors to make up for it... That's my excuse.
