Contrary to popular belief, I'm still alive
But as my life can be summed up with life, what life, as always I come bearing fandom news.
For those who might have no idea what Elementary is - it's an American show based on Sherlock Holmes with Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock and Lucy Liu as Joan Watson, coming to the screens in the Fall.
OF COURSE I already have my thoughts and opinions that I have to inflict on the world, you know me.
So first of all, it really doesn't look like a copy of BBC's Sherlock, which I think is what most people feared. It looks more like another Mentalist or something like that. Which leads us to the second point: it's VERY American. Which is, well, understandable, considering it's an American production.
Another thing that I expected from the beginning: Lucy Liu already irritates me. But I didn't like her in any of her shows or movies, so no surprise here.
BUT I really like Jonny Lee Miller! And no, not just because he's British. His Sherlock seems so fluffily awkward that he might be actually adorable.
I'm not expecting much from this show (prejudice, what prejudice), but obviously I'll give it a chance, it's Sherlock, after all.
