We made a tour around the island ... I really loved it and it was one more prove that Madeira is one of the greatest places I have been to so far ... And I will always repeat the sentence  that it was the best I could do!!

Firstly, we drove to the mountains ... To Pico do Arieiro ... This mountain is around 1800 m above the sea level! Yeah, it's almost as high as the highest mountain in Germany (I think). The landscape remembered me of Switzerland, not everything, but there were parallels. It was really amazing to see that such a small island like Madeira has so many different kinds of landscape. I walked around in the area of Pico do Arieiro. It was impressive. And the weather was good. It was not very foggy ... I know that problem from home ... You never know what the weather will be like in the mountains ...

I think we next went somewhere in a café where I drank Poncha. It's a Madeiran drink with alcohol in it and honey ... it was special ... I remember that I wasn't very crazy for it ... but I would drink it again ... Mica and I shared a glass of it ... I had never drunk something like it before ...

We continued our little journey and stopped in Riberio Frio ... A Levada started somewhere near there, but we didn't go to it ... Instead, we walked around and I was again amazed by the landscape ... There was a lovely house with some ponds with fishes in it ... We wandered around and just enjoyed it ... I also went into the forest ... I like wandering around like that ... esp. when I'm not at home ... I don't mind doing it at home either, but it's more special to do it somewhere else, right?

Next, we drove to Santana which was in the north of Madeira ... We had crossed the whole island! We had lunch in Santana ... We went to see the lovely farm houses ... Actually, no one lives in those anymore nowadays ... As Mica said, they are there to look lovely ... and they are lovely indeed! I couldn't get enough of those ... I love them ... And I got a very cute keyring from Familia Santos before I left with such a house on it ... How cute!! I treat it very carefully the way ... don't want to break it and so on ...

We visited several places with houses in Santana ... It was so impressive ... Unfortunately, we couldn't get into such a house ... but seeing them from outside wasn't too bad ... I really enjoyed it ...

At last, we drove to Ponta Sao Lourenço which was on the east end of Madeira ... Wow!! How different to the rest of Madeira it was!! Mica said that it looked similar to Porto Santo and I agreed ... yes, it did look very similar to Porto Santo ... We visited two different places of Ponta Sao Lourenço ... Two viewpoints so to say ... We could see the sea from both ... The second one was the more impressive one ... The view out of it was just amazing ... There were many rocks in the sea ... I loved it ...

We drove home then ... I don't remember at what time we arrived home ... It can't have been very late ...

Later, Mica, Andreia, Cátia, Vanessa (Cátia's friend), and I went out together. Firstly, we went to CCC again. Well this time, we were not all one in the club ... There were a few more people ... but still, we were almost alone in there ... Too bad ... That's why we didn't stay there for very long ... We wanted to go to a club which was called Vespa ... We were not delighted when we got there at all ... because we had to be outside and stand in queue for quite a long time ... Firstly, we thought that the club hadn't opened yet, but actually it had!! We waited for some more minutes and left ... And instead, we went to another club which was called Copacabana Club and it was in the Casino ... So I also saw the Casino from inside which was really lovely ... It wasn't too bad in the Copacabana ... But the DJ always played the same kind of music ... Latino ... Firstly, I liked it ... but I felt a bit bored after a little while and so were the others ... I think it was around 1 am or 2 am (not later for sure) when we came home ...
