I updated my preferences! that's not an unsubtle hint to write me stuff hahaha but more to come out and chat with me!
Have your preferences changed while you've been in fandom? And I am using fandom here in a very general sense, from bands to shows to movies to sports and RPF (as I know some of you like wrestlers ;)
I am curious about the various fandoms you like. Which ones do inspire you to write or create art? Which ones do you like for the sex? And which one for the romance? Can you observe developments and patterns?
Has writing fanfic and creating fanart changed you in one or more ways? Did you become a better writer, a better artist? Once you began reading about certain characters, did your views about them change? Are there pairings you loved and that leave you cold these days, are there pairings you came to after a long time in a specific fandom? Are there pairings that squicked you and you learned to adore (and vice versa)?
Did you develop kinks or squicks during your time in certain fandom? Which are your bulletproof kinks (and squicks) and which one are heavily fandom-dependent?
Do you think fandom is going mainstream? How do you think did AO3, tumblr and Co change the landscape and dynamics of fandom? I crave your insights and opinions!
