let's get this over with, shall we?

Last night duckduck inflicted me with the earworm that is Alabama's classic "Dixieland Delight". I like that song, don't get me wrong, but it has been stuck in my head ever since and that is pretty annoying. I was forced to drag out my Alabama No. 1s CD, but listening to the song just made it worse. So the next step, of course, is to inflict it on everyone else. Which means that on the last day of the seven day meme, you get country music. Sorry.

The Seven Day Meme

On each day, post the following:

day 01 | a song
day 02 | a picture
day 03 | a book/ebook/fanfic
day 04 | a site
day 05 | a youtube clip
day 06 | a quote
day 07 | whatever tickles your fancy

Mountain Music

Dixieland Delight

She and I

She Ain't Your Ordinary Girl

Tennessee River

High Cotton

The Closer You Get

That is a pretty random selection; mostly I just chose what sounded good at 6:00 this morning. Normally I am not much for country music, even, but I make exceptions for certain artists, and Alabama is one of them. I guess I like good country music, not that pop crap they're calling 'country' these days. But that's a debate best left to people who have a) more musical knowledge than myself, and b) gotten more sleep than I did last night.

I was going to post pictures from the pumpkin patch for the last day of the meme, but my sister had dinner guests so they didn't get uploaded. I'll post them whenever I get my hands on them for the few people who care about pictures of me and my family members.

My sister's dinner guests were her inlaws, who arrived while I was still in the garage running on the treadmill. (3 1/2 miles yesterday. Today I might try for four, but I don't know if I'll have enough time. We'll see.) Anyway, her inlaws saw my car, so they made me come upstairs all sweaty so they could gawk at me. Seriously, they said they 'wanted to see'. How much weight I've lost, that is, since although we live in the same town, I see them maybe twice a year. (They're not my inlaws, so this is fine with me.) Anyway, it is kind of weird, being stared at that way. Though if you're trying to lose weight, all I have to say is this: Get used to it. It's going to happen, I promise.

There was other stuff I was going to say, but I can't remember what any of it was. Oh well, it was probably boring anyway.
