me and my crazy brain

So my writing prompt community is still trucking along, mainly because I promised myself I would not skip a day under any circumstances (over 100 followers! I'm excited). I have cut it close a few times when I've gotten busy and forgotten, and I've had to scrape the bottom of the prompt barrel more than once, but I'm still doing it, and it's ( Read more... )

Nick KNEW he shouldn't be there. Mandy had insistedinsistedinsisted until he'd finally given in. He'd been too tired, too hurt after the death...the WASTE of the whole damn day. He should be home trying to sleep it away instead of mingling with a bunch of singles from work.

"Hey, Nick!" Mandy bubbled happily. "You're here!" She had the nerve to look surprised. "Hand me your keys, big guy." She held her hand out, sure of his obedience.

"Keys?" Too tired to be here! "I'm not planning on drinking."

Why was that girl laughing again? Too tired.

Mandy! I'm shocked, I tell you. She always seems so no-nonsense. But I am going to imagine that Greg put her and Wendy up to it, and Wendy participated with glee, but made Mandy do the dirty work because Nick is least suspicious of her. And then I also get to imagine Mandy/Wendy. Mmm...girlslash.

See, Greg and Wendy know that Mandy has Nick by the scruff. She made him sing BARRY MANILOW, for heavens sake. Greg couldn't even get him to sing "Happy Birthday" for Bob-the-Fern when they'd managed not to kill him for a whole year. So it had to be Mandy. No one else could even get him in the door.

Wait, he sang Barry? Is this canonical? Because if it is, I'm going to have to track down the episode.

I think he did, didn't he? He sang "Mandy," right?

Sorry to butt in.

Butting in is fine! I vaguely remember a mention of that, now that you say it. Man, I need to track down that episode. First I need someone to tell me which one it is. Even though I will probably spend the summer catching up on the seasons I missed like the loser I am.

It was episode #108. So, year six??? Late year five? Not sure. ::mutters...24 episodes a year times 5 equals 120 so it had to be kind of early in season five. ?????????) I do know it was 108, that's the best I can do.

Thank you! Did I really skip season five too? Lord. I have a lot of catching up to do.

I've never embedded anything before. I have no idea if this will work or not. :(

It worked as a link, and since I am all by my lonesome up here tonight I listened. My favorite part is where he's obviously done it before, and he's resigned to his fate. Bless. Thank you!

(It's not possible for me to love Nick more, but if it were, this would have done it.)

He was so terribly put upon. So very with the heavy sighs. Loved, loved, loved him. It's even better that he can't sing. It made it all the sweeter. And it showed that Mandy is just as evil as the rest of them.

Total canon. She was holding results that he wanted 'ransom' and made him sing "Oh Mandy" to get them. I kid you not. I wish I could remember which episode it was but I'm pretty sure it was either last year or the year before. (FYI...he sings badly but earnestly.)
