Well, okay, pairing-wise, which do you prefer? Bones? But I'd have to wait until season four to even see this guy? I don't know, my friend Dave at work recommends Bones too, though I've never asked him about Criminal Minds, so who knows. I also can't exactly ask him which is more slashy. Damned job.
Staying home today. Going to talk to my mom and dad this afternoon. Tney doesn't know anything yet, but they will. They will try to talk me out of the race, of course, because they're my parents. Then I can tell Julie and TJ without feeling like I'm betraying them, and Julie can give it to me straight. YOu know, more than anything, I keep thinking about how my brother told me he'd drop kick me if I punked out of this race, mostly because he actually had to get off his lazy ass and exercise (the kid can run 9 minute miles and not even die, so he's a bullshitter of an even higher caliber than me). Of course I'm pretty sure he wouldn't punt me, for real, but you never know. I do know he couldn't even lift me, though. Frickin' string bean.
Pairing-wise, CM is way slashier. Way, waaaay slashier. Last night's episode aside, the thing that truly rocks about Wendell/Hodgins is the AU Liz and I have created for them. It is almost entirely independent of the show, and Hodgins isn't actually that slashy at all. Which is a first for me, because you know I am usually all about the realism.
I am going to say only this about that, and then I will take it back to e-mail: I had a feeling that was why you were waffling, and if your brother gives you shit I will drive up to Duluth and drop kick *him*. And I work out a LOT, so I could do it. There is no way it is not understandable, given the situation. He's a guy and they're dumb about stuff sometimes, but his wife would probably smack him around anyway. (Also, can't she step in? She's a runner.)
I was going to say something else. Maybe it will come back to me if I open an e-mail.
Oh, he totally wouldn't punt me. He was just being a shit. It's funny, if you know him, and if he knew, he would totally understand and probably roll his eyes and call me a moron for worrying about his feelings.
That said, I do appreciate the image of my 6'4" brother being punted by 5'0" woman. And yes, I KNOW, I am totally the runt of my family. :) I guess we have pretty tall genes.
Julie is very tiny too. My brother is used to getting beat up on by short women. He deserves it for using his size to his advantage WHEN HE WAS 10. AND I WAS 14. There is no justice in this world.
