what I did on my summer vacation

I am painting my guest room a sort of buttery yellow, and the entire time I was putting the first coat on I kept thinking over and over, "Daisies, lemons, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow." It got kind of annoying after awhile

It is! It's already gone from drab to cheerful in one coat. I really hate painting, but it's worth the effort. I'm afraid I forgot to take before pictures, as usual, but maybe I have some from when I first bought the house. I'll have to poke around my hard drive.

I love yellow. My room's yellow and it's bright and cheerful. I did the meme btw ;).

The yellow is very cheerful. I'm trying to decide if it needs another coat or not; my sister says not, but I'm not so sure.

Listen, I meant to comment on your apartment pictures but I got busy at work (it was kind of a miracle, and it was only because I was doing someone else's job for them) and I didn't. But it looks really nice, and if you want me to bring up any tools or anything when I come see you in May, let me know. Am I still coming up in May? And do I need to find a place to stay?

Oh, no biggie. I will have to let you know if I need any tools. What sort of tools would this be? And I am looking for a pull-out couch, so there will be room for you, me, The Mom, and The Step-Dad in the apartment. So that's fine. I promise they're not too weird.
