Well you know, slash pairings aside, the new girl completely sucks because Hot Girl With Attitude is so played out as a cop show archetype. It's boring and predictable and nobody cares. I just wish CBS would get that. There's a reason the cast on the L&O franchise is mostly drama-free.
But I digress. The Danny PTSD thing is pretty lame. I am just going to pretend that he went over to Martin's and there were sparks, and while nothing happened, Martin forgave him for not coming around sooner and there was some flirting and Danny's got hope for their future. Which is the cause for his good mood.
That's the theory I'm going with.
As for CSI, I am completely doomed. Doomed, doomed, doomed. But what the hell. In for a penny, I always say.
Total Mary Sue. And that girl-girl 'kiss'? Biggest fucking copout I've ever seen. Poppy looked horrified the whole time, and she's played lesbians before. It was just...weird.
How cheesey was it that I jumped up and down when Nick got out of the car and waved at Greg? I'm all gushy over this season...I shouldn't be I know.
For my thought's on WaT, see my post. I'm plotting to kill. Watching CSI and getting an 'A' in Forensic Science will help plan the perfect murder right?
As for the stuff, I'd like my Ramayana back, although I did the paper already.
Like I really, want it? I still think it's cool that my book went from Jersey to Florida to Washington; that book will never see that much travling again. LOL.
Well you could at least sell it back and get a little bit of money, since you had to buy it twice. I told her you might want it back, she won't mind. I have no idea why she took it with her in the first place, it's the most boring fucking book ever.
That wave - nothing but shoutout for us. Seriously, it had *no* other possible point but Nick saying "Hi" to his boyfriend.
I also actually liked the little Nick/"what's her face, the new chick cop who used to be a CSI and almost did Grissom" moment. She's fierce without being wierd (unlike our Ms. Sidle) and would make a good "pal" for Nick - somebody for him to hang out and drink beer and swap cop stories with on those nights when Greg just *insists* on going to see Marilyn Manson. It's good for a married couple to each have at least one separate friend that they can spend time with.
I love Sophia. I love her even more when she's away from Grissom and I can pretend that she's a butch-y femme and that she was really lusting after Sara all that time.
Ahem.
Yes, that wave was a shout-out to us. I'm all squeeful and I want to hug this episode and it makes me nervous, damn it.
That wave, Nick's freak-out about going underground and the previews pretty much made my day -- sad but true. And Danny waving the sandwich at Martin was just pure love.
And I can't figure out what they think they are doing with Danny and the irritating new girl -- She's all tense, and secretive and blah, blah -- and Danny's just whatever. Also no chemistry from him to her, which with Enrique I thought was impossible.
Well, as Thursdays go, a few choice fandom moments aren't such a bad way to end the day. After working all night it was nice to come home to a little subtext, however small.
I don't understand why they added another character to WAT. I would have thought they'd learned their lesson with CSI last year. Maybe next year she'll join the NYPD and then they can have her show up on occasion a la Sophia to track down perps. And she and Sam could actually be slashy together instead of just that disappointing pseudo-slashy they were doing last night.
Apparently hope springs eternal in my world. Who knew.
Clea Duvall rocks. I was wondering why Oz hasn't got CARNIVALE Series 2 yet...
Yay, Nick/Greg moments. And I har you on the staring into photocopiers thang. It's one of my little irky moments in film and tv, along with women chased by psychotics with big cutlery who run around in high heels going :click clack CLICK CLACK click clack: and then act *surprised* when the maniac homes in on them *g*
Yeah, they cancelled Carnivale and from what I hear (I haven't watched all of season two yet) they left it at a really big, annoying cliffhanger. Bastards. It's not really like HBO to pull that shit, so I don't get it.

But then again Martin is Danny's lobster. Sigh.

Nuts. I hate when they do that...
btw- Keen horror film recommendation du jour: HAUTE TENSION (aka (HIGH TENSION aka SWITCHBLADE ROMANCE) grisly violence, suspense and...a Queer maniac...)
