Indeed! We're open 62.5 hours a week, I believe.

I am glad that they have up'd the police presence. It never hurts to have another set of eyes in a public setting. It's the .o1% that you have to worry about, which is why it is a problem. It's easy to forget such a small percentage who might be really dangerous. When you deal with the 50% who are just odd, it's easy to forget that there are people out there who could hurt you just because you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At least in NYC you get to live in a cool place and put up with that shit. What can I say, I'm a glass half full kind of gal.

We have security guards all the time, but they're pretty useless. Nice guys, but low paid and about as intimidating as me. Probably less intimidating than me, let's be real.

I will take NYC weird and scary over this place any day.

Is it sad that I'm not surprised that they are library customers?
I really want to go to NYCC some year. Of course, I'm hoping I can't go this year because I'll have a new job and not be allowed vacation yet.

I mean, of COURSE they hang out at the library. We're a mile from the mission and 'tent city', and we offer free internet access all day long.

That's okay, you'll have your new job this year, and you can come next year!
