Trip Day 2: Legoland Part Two

Mar 27, 2012 10:23

So the centerpiece of Legoland is Miniland, which is a series of cityscapes replicated from Legos. It's really pretty cool. I took a lot of pictures.

Looking over Miniland:

Daytona Speedway:

Pirates!

I don't actually know what's happening here, but I'm digging the tiny Lego walker:

Florida Capitol:

I have never been to San Francisco, but it looks really cool made of Legos:

Lego Hollywood:

They packed a lot into the NYC section, kind of to its detriment, I think. But it was still really cool.

Viva Las Vegas! Here is where I started picturing tiny Lego Nick and Greg solving crimes and having makeout breaks all over town:

There are little buttons around the displays you can push to make stuff happen. In New York there was one that played Sinatra. This one made the dolphins do 'tricks':

Cape Canaveral:

Miami Beach:

And my favorite, Key West:

The Hemingway House even has the cats on the porches:

Someday I will go there for real. Maybe on a cruise.

Our Nation's Capitol:

Look, it's President and Mrs. Obama! I wonder if they'll change out the little figures once his second term ends.

The real coins in the wishing fountain are not to scale:

And that's the end of my Legoland pictures. I think. Unless I find out my sister and mom have some really cool ones, and then I'll share some more. There are still pictures of the beach and my mom's dogs. I'll get around to them soon, maybe.
