i've, unfortunately, begun writing more fannish things in spite of the fact that i haven't watched since last semester, save for a scene or performance or two (because it's usually amber, and i like watching her sing). i miss your puckurt. i miss you. :[ i miss the old comm. the new one is shitty and i hate everyone and i don't care who knows, honestly.

i keep being told to read the hunger games! i might steal them from my friend this weekend so i can binge-read. i wasn't interested until i found out the protagonist is female, which, seeing as i'm all social-justice-y or whatever, is Super Cool to me!

Hunger Games has the female protagonist going for it, but she's 16 and tbh she grates a little. It might just be me. Also the writing is a bit lazy and exposition-y, which from a writerly standpoint I find irritating. Still, it's a quick read and it's entertaining enough.

I keep getting the urge to write drunken Salfer RPS set during Cory's house party. Then I think of you and stop myself before I embarrass anyone. Mainly myself. I do not know why you're my internal RPS censor, no.

see, that's what i'm afraid of going into it, because the concept sounds cool -- seen it before w/e w/e -- and i like dystopic things, but i'm a stickler for voice. plus, i haven't read anything that's fallen under the title of genre fiction in a while
