So I first made this for fun, then I sent it in to be included in the "Memory Book" some girls are giving Van and Jake at the Paris event, then I put these on Twitter, and now I'm doing it here! Next stop Facebook, then- the rest of the world!
Anyway. This is a playlist I made of songs that sort of, I don't know, make up a soundtrack for me for the Luke/Noah storyline. All of it, all 3+ years. So some songs are happy, some are sad, etc. Some just have really specific bits to them that remind me of the characters, or a particular storyline, or (in some very loosely interpretive ways) the actors who portray them, and the fans who love them. So I hope you like!
(And apologies if I come off sounding pretentious-douchey at any point. It happens sometimes)
Luke and Noah Playlist
(songs are in alphabetical order)
1. "Beautiful Man" by Mason Jennings
Why: It's a cute and sweet song, kinda whimsical? It's actually more of a song about a man-crush or a bromance (or, if you really squint, a guy questioning his heterosexuality!), but I picked it for its playfulness, its light-heartedness. And I like the simple admiration in the lyrics.
Key Lyrics: "He makes me want to look good/ He makes me feel at ease/ He makes me want to write true songs/ About anything that I please."

2. "Don't Let Me Down" cover by Stereophonics
Why: It's a classic 'sort-of-love-song,' I picked this cover over the original purely because of the rawness of the singer's voice. It seems less like performing and more like confessing. And the middle verse is one of my favorites- so reminds me of this relationship.
Key Lyrics: "I'm in love for the first time/ Don't you know it's going to last/ It's a love that lasts forever/ It's a love that has no past."

3. "First Day Of My Life" by Bright Eyes
Why: Because it's ony of my favorite love songs, and the video only makes it that much better. I could talk about how beautiful it all is for hours. How it obviously can pertain to any relationship, between two people of any rage/age/sexuality/etc. I can't find the right words to describe how sweet-hopeful-wonderful it is. So. Lots of lyrics to quote.
Key Lyrics: "Yours is the first face that I saw/ I think I was blind before I met you/ Now I don't know where I am, don't know where I've been/ But I know where I want to go/ And so I thought I'd let you know/ That these things take forever, I especially am slow/ But I realized that I need you/ And I wondered if I could come home."
Key Lyrics 2: "And you said, 'This is the first day of my life/ I'm glad I didn't die before I met you/ But, now I don't care, I could go anywhere with you/ And I'd probably be happy."
Key Lyrics 3: "We'll just have to wait and see/ But I'd rather be working for a paycheck/ Than waiting to win the lottery/ Besides, maybe this time it's different/ I mean I really think you like me."

4. "For You" by Johnny Cash and Dave Matthews
Why: First, because it's pretty. And the voices of these two men blend so well together. And the emotions behind the song- of being willing to do things that will hurt, willing to sacrifice whatever they must, anything in the name of love, anything for the person that they love- is another aspect of this relationship that I love.
Key Lyrics: "I will drink the cup, the poison overflowing/ I will lift you up, watch over where you're going/ The first one in, the last one gone/ I'll be the rock to stand upon/ For you."
