ok!
here is my new year's resolution:
to be more careful.
i want to be careful financially, to be more responsible in that adult sphere of bills and all that. part of this extra care i hope to take is just regular responsibility, i guess, but something i've managed to avoid for a while.
but more so, i want to be careful that i don't neglect a single pleasure afforded by my last semester in college. i want to really truly learn everything i can from my classes, read everything assigned and actually keep up with ALL of my classes. i hope to end up in school again one day, but until then i have to truly appreciate my education.
but there is also the social side of the university life. i want to see every good show that comes this way-- working merch, for one, is a good way to see shows free and pretend like you tour with the band and tell fantastic stories.
i want to take advantage of gainesville while i'm still here-- as much as i despise the image of the thirty-year old UF grad that never moved away but keeps partying and hooking up with the freshmen-- well, i love the city. i love that it is small and has such a sense of community, with some event or another always to anticipate. whether it's roaming the harn museum every thursday night just because it's free and you can feel like a classy new yorker... muscovite... anyways. biking through historic neighborhoods is a favorite pastime. an afternoon at the ichetucknee river. an evening in saint augustine. a midnight drive to cedar key.
(ryan got a sweet little old red cruiser, so he has joined the gainesville bike devils. the bike is named carolina. the free spirit.)
so in short: i want to be more careful so as not to miss a moment, nor to neglect any annoying little responsibility that will ruin moments to come if it is not handled properly.
therefore: i have to go to the registrar! and apply for graduation!! ahhhh!!!
