World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by
Max Brooks My review
rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was expecting a straight forward horror story, but it was much more than that: the author carefully layered the horror with social commentary and intelligent insights about current society (as George Romero taught us that every good zombie story should be). Told as a collection of transcribed oral interviews, the format lends itself to the possibility of validity. It's not flawless, but it is solid and worth the read.
