This and that
You may recall that as of my last entry I was feeling under the weather. Well, the weather is still firmly up there, and I'm still firmly down here, but I'm making progress. Still not great, but at least I've regained a lot of presence of mind.
Anyway, we went and saw Sweeney Todd on Saturday. It was, on the whole, fantastic. I did miss a few songs (Sweeney Todd without The Ballad of Sweeney Todd? That's just silly.) and I really missed the Beggar Woman's best lines, but the visuals are stunning (and I don't just mean that scene where it looks like Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp are about to make out - be still my heart!) and the little boy who played Toby was perfect. Surprisingly, only
bob_wonderllama and I were really laughing at the showing we attended. Anyone else have thoughts on the movie?
Anyhow, I've just woken up and I think it's breakfast time. Mmmm, bread pudding!
