I love your work. I fall inside of it, and I never want to come out again.

You say the nicest things to me, and I'm always shocked that you like my work. But I'm so glad that you do, and thank you so much for saying so. It means a lot. A lot a lot. <3

Thank you. :D I'm starting to feel better about it, too.

It shook, and it dropped to the ground, convulsing so violently that even the fabric of space and time around it seemed to tremble; around it, the very air seemed to take on turbulent shape, moving like the breakers, quick choppy waves.
What a gorgeous image.
I love your Dawn here.
And finally
She wanted to tell him it was okay, it was going to be okay. She was the Slayer; when she said things like that, they had weight. People believed her.
Only he never had.
The only trouble was, Angel was correct on that score.

Thank you. I enjoy writing Dawn; I just don't find the occasion to do it often, since I'm not so much interested in her journey as I am . . . not. Heh.
I'm really glad you liked it. Or, at least, that you liked parts of it, and the rest left you all speechless and bothered. :)
Thank you.
ETA: And that line you picked out, about the breakers? That took for frickin' ever to write so it didn't sound like I had brain damage, so I'm glad it paid off. :D

Well, you know I love your writing anyway. And there's so little really excellent B/A fic out there these days.
This has all the bells and whistles, but so much more, too. Great character interplay:
“Your hearts were in the right place!” Dawn said cheerfully. “I mean . . . well, okay, maybe things didn’t really turn out super, but it sounds like you had good intentions . . .”
“There’s a road paved with those,” Faith said. “Anyone remember where it leads?”
I loved the interplay between Faith and Dawn and Buffy.
This made me laugh out loud:
“You guys are so weird,” Connor said, grinning. “It’s kind of awesome.”
Dawn rolled her eyes. “Yeah, you can enjoy it now; it’s all new and interesting. At this end of it, it’s just annoying.”
But woven through this story is that ever-present, trademark Carly B/A angst. By the time I got to the end, I felt like you were squeezing my heart.
The whole post-Prom thing, just so beautiful and quiet:
She was the Slayer; when she said things like that, they had weight. People ( ... )
