Mom
I know this woman...
She always ran my bath water until it was just right,
And never let me go to bed with out first telling me “Good night.”
She held my hand while crossing the street,
And would take extra time if I stumbled over my feet.
She took me to doctors when she noticed something was wrong,
And stood by my side when the answers took to long.
She always made sure there was food on the table,
And did her best to make sure our foundation was stable.
She listened to me whenever I had a problem,
And she always knew the best way to solve them.
She broke up fights between Jerrod and Jeremy,
And I’m defiantly sure that got pretty scary.
She told us kids to stand our ground,
And to never let anyone push us around.
She helped her children through so many things,
And I swear to do that she must have had wings.
She was there for everyone, a mother to all,
And when they had a problem they knew who to call.
She is the most amazing person I know,
And for all I am today she is the one I owe.
She is my best friend, my hero, my Mother,
And even if I could I wouldn’t ask for any other.
She is the woman I strive to be,
And I hope she knows, she has made me a better me.
