What kind of a living situation are you in here? A very bad one, I can see. :/ Your roomate Steve sounds pretty shady. I think someone needs to call a house meeting and discuss how bills are going to be paid and to explain how people in the house need to start taking more responsibility. It just seems like you're being walked on over this, something I know I personally wouldn't take from my roomates, but I hope somehow things can get cleared up in a quick manner. *hug*
He is shady. If you look back a few entries there's an entry about him stealing from the rest of us and also one about our monthly conflicts over $50. He's irresponsible and noone else seems to care.
At this point it doesn't even matter anymore. I won't be living with anyone of them next year as I'm still not sure what school I'll be at. I just want to get through this last month and a half. I may have some choice words for him at the end but at this point I don't want to strain anything more than it already is.
I wish I was more aggressive. I'm just not that way. I'd rather keep the peace. I did want to confront him with the stealing but all my other roommates backed out and I didn't have the guts to do it alone. So I just let it be.
I can understand what you mean by keeping the peace, and maybe that's the best way to go since you'll only be living there for a month and a half more. I had an experience last summer when I lived with someone I hardly knew, and it was completely horrible. I'll spare you the details, lol... but I'll just say that I learned my lesson in not to ever live with someone I hardly even know. o_O Though I don't know if that's what your situation is with your roomate, Steve.
Actually, it is. I didn't know any of my roommates when I moved in here. They were all friends of friends. Luckily they all seem alright except him. It could be worse.
