I was on the other side of town and heard them both. Faint but audible. Maybe wind changed direction? Think observance on 11/11 is growing. Few years ago it was only on the weekend. Carole was on the bus in Manchester and the driver pulled over, announced that he was observing the 2 minute silence. The youngsters were bemused by the whole thing but many appreciated it. JHSC
