Armistice Day
So, Cousin John, the family Battle of Britain pilot, is in the window again with a nice big St George's flag behind him to draw the eye. Canadian cousin Quentin's there as well, who died in Scotland during WWII with the Winnipeg Rifles.
I heard the siren at 11am. Usually there's a second one to signal the end of the silence but this year it seemed to be missing - perhaps because we had it for an hour one night a couple of weeks ago!
