Just a few thoughts on the weekend, DH, and life in general.
I read DH with a big group of people (the first time I've ever done that, and sadly, probably the last). It took me FOREVER to finish because I kept falling asleep. (Yeah, I know...)
But I finally did finish it! Yay me! My slow reading wasn't due to the fact that I didn't like it, it's just, you know, I read slow, and had a really rough few days leading up to the book, and didn't sleep at all the night before I left for the meet-up and not much while I was there.
Again, despite the long read-time (I was probably the last person on the planet to finish, or at least the last person who got the book at midnight), I really enjoyed this book. I can't say at this point whether it's my favorite, but it's pretty darn close. I loved the trio dynamic, I loved Neville so, so much. I loved practically everything about the last three chapters. I loved how the epilogue brought everything full circle.
In short, I guess you could say I loved it. It was awesome. There were so many moments that were just perfect.
Must sleep now. I'm going to be insanely busy for the next few weeks.
