I was crafting this morning when a clumsy moment led to a chipboard letter 'e' falling to the floor from the canvas I'm currently working on. I had heard it impact with the floor so I looked for it but couldn't find it.
It was most annoying. I had cut 3 layers of the same letter from a die, and then altered it with mists and UTEE so I didn't really want to have to make it all over again.
So I was most diligent in my search, I looked all around the floor. I moved shopping bags which were on the floor next to my table, to be absolutely sure. I looked in the said shopping bags, in case it had dropped in. I even went down on my hands and knees to search. No go.
After 15 minutes of this, I had to conclude that it was a fruitless search. I then got to work on making the new 'e'.
I got out my Bigshot, and connected it to the powerpoint. I got out the die, the cutting plates, the chipboard, cut the chipboard to size, and ran everything through the Bigshot 3 times to get 3 'e's.
And, when everything was done, just as I was putting the die back into its plastic packaging... (Yes, I'm sure all of you know what comes next...)... I saw the original letter 'e', staring innocently up at me from the floor, in a spot I swear I had looked and swept, more than once.
Sod you, Murphy's Law.
