History:
Harry Potter Wiki Personality: It comes as no surprise that Hagrid, being half giant and all, has one of the biggest hearts one can ever have. Usually one to keep a level head, it takes a lot of effort on one's part to get him riled up, even more so to get him angry or even lash out. He can get flustered and nervous when put on the spot though, and he has a tendency to struggle at keeping secrets. But at the very core of him is a kind man who has seen much, lost more loved ones than any one person should, and has managed to pull through difficult times.
He ignores the prejudice he has suffered in the past due to his bloodline and kept a good head on his shoulders. While other witches and wizards are exceedingly quick to judge, Hagrid looks beyond assumptions people will make and see a person for who they are. Both the good and the bad sides to them. And he'll never turn someone away when they are looking for help. More often than not he has been considered as a father-like figure to students at Hogwarts given how much he cares for them and has protected them. Always there to give advice when asked Hagrid is also not shy about calling a person out on their faults if it's something that needs to be brought to light for them to realize. He will always have the best intentions at heart though.
The man does possess a blind eye to creatures in a sense that is both commendable and rather... stupid, to be rather blunt on the subject. He cares for all living creatures, be they gentle or wanting to bite someone's head off. He is regarded as one of the most gifted individuals when it comes to working with magical creatures though, including the fact that he is the first and so far only being to have a tame herd of Thestrals. Also, he loves dragons. Like, really, really loves them, to the point of smuggling a dragon egg into his own hut despite the fact it is unbelievably illegal.
Powers/Abilities: Because he is half-giant, most spells do not typically work on Hagrid, such as the Stunning Spell. Gifted with training and understanding magical creatures, there's very little he's actually afraid. And he's stupidly blind to how dangerous dragons are and is determined to have one of his own one day.

[ When the video feed turns on the only viewable thing on the screen is constantly shifting camera, ranging from displaying a pair of rather large boot-covered feet to an impressive shaggy beard, and even the sky above. ]
Ruddy strange thing this is. Jus' what the heck is this anyway?
[ The microphone was picking up a gruff voice of someone sounding very tired and very annoyed. Again he turns the device over, this time showing his face for a split second before it continued moving to be aimed at his shoes. ]
Damned Muggle contraption... bet Arthur'd love to take it apart an--
[ The screen suddenly cuts off for a full minute. The only possible explanation is that he had accidentally pressed the wrong button and turned the video feed off. It isn't long before the video flickers back to life again in mid rambling on the half-giants part. ]
--is isn't doin' me any good. Hopeless, really.
[ A heavy sigh can be heard before the screen suddenly shifted drastically in height. There's a crunch as he sits, holding the communicator in one hand, the camera catching a profile of his weary face. It's dirty and his beard shows signs of bits of leaves and dirt. It looks as if it's been days since he's had a good night's sleep or a bath for that matter. But all of that doesn't seem to register for Hagrid. ]
... Grawp.... dunno what 'appened to ya, but I can only hope yer safe.

Keep moving.
He had to keep moving.
The branches and leaves beneath his boot crunched under his weight as he went. Ignoring the constant screams of exhaustion from his legs the half-giant keep his eyes on the trees, constantly darting back and forth, seeking any signs of them. Just feet behind him he heard a second pair of heavy foot steps moving to keep up with him.Grawp, while not fully understanding how grave the situation was, knew well enough that there were wizards trying find them. Trying to hurt them. Hagrid had conveyed that much to his half-brother in order to coax him from the Forbidden Forest and away from the one place that had been home.
Night had fallen hours ago. Hagrid waited until the last rays of light had vanished beyond the horizon before he and Grawp left their hiding spot for the day. It was safer to travel at night. They were less likely to be seen then than in broad daylight. A half giant and a giant are a little hard to miss after all, especially when they were being hunted down.
"C'mon on Grawp, jus' a bit farther," Hagrid mumbled just low enough to be heard as he glanced over his shoulder. "We're almost there."
"Okay Hagger."
As he watched his brother increase his pace Hagrid felt a pang of guilt. Grawp was innocent in all this and yet he had gotten him involved. He brought the giant here for a chance at a better life, away from the cruel and harsh treatment of the other giants in the colonies, but here they were on the run from the Death Eaters. For a split second Hagrid's anger flared. Damn the Death Eaters. Damn Tom Riddle. Damn the lot of them.
Beckoning Grawp to turn left at that moment Hagrid changed their path once more to avoid being easy to follow. His frustration calmed after a few minutes, leaving him to his collected thoughts. He just needed to keep Grawp safe and avoid being detected.
And above all else-- have faith.
