Here he is breezing. My point and shoot camera doesn't freeze action like a quality SLR, but that's ok, I kinda like the blur....
Speaking of cameras, here I am with two of my old photographer friends. Reed Palmer, in the middle, is the official track photographer at Churchill Downs. I worked as a photographer for Reed in the 1980s at Canterbury Downs in Minnesota. On the right is Suzie Oldham, an old friend and freelance photographer. And that's me on the left.
It is midday as I write this, I have a couple hours to myself and I am going on a Derby hat search. I'll report my findings later, and meanwhile I leave you with the peaceful image of the Microwave Cat, official cat of the Nafzger racing stable.
