Hannah and I have a bit of a bet on. You see, there's this couple. Well they're not a couple yet, but circumstance make us feel that they should be. Really should be. Anyway, they've been dancing around actually getting into a relationship for various reasons: Her baggage, his worries, her heart, his pride, and so on and so on. Really if you look at it, instead of their personal issues holding each other back, they could use the other to lean on for support. But they keep holding each other at arms length thinking it's the best for everyone when really it's making each more miserable. And as misery likes company they're making their friends feel sad, which is mostly because their friends LOATHE to see them so down. It's basically breaking their friends hearts, but they're not the point right now. Back to the couple:

They're best friends. They've been best friends for a long time. They both want more, but some misguided belief holds them back. They could be blissful together, they could be perfect, but they are in their own way and will continue to be until they are beaten about the head with some sort of Plank Of Reason. Their friends would gladly wield said Plank if they weren't so scared of losing their friends, to depression or just plain running away, they're not sure.

So the bet is 10 Galleons on when they'll get together. I've well and truly lost. I thought: "You know, they're smart people, they will see the signs are get together pretty soon. I mean, come on! All the signs are there. It's bound to be less than a month, give or take a few days." Hannah thinks it will take more than that but nothing over six months. I've been given a reprieve of a few months so I'm still in this, but soap operas, they take weeks to resolve one little issue, don't you think? It's ridiculous.

Oh yeah, We're taking about that soap opera on WWW at night, Charms of the Heart or something. Since I work all day, Han and I sit and listen to this a few times a week. Stupid as it is, the bloody thing is addictive. If you think that's sad, you try listening to the woes of Clarissa and Stephan and not want to see what happens next.

If you thought this was about you in any way whatsoever, take a minute the ponder why you're thoughts lead you there exactly.

For anyone wondering, the last week or so at Susan's has been wonderful. I feel very at home here.
