Some of you may have noticed what I listed as my "current music". To those of you who didn't, I'd like to advert your attention to it now. Read it one more time, let it sink in - hell, even download it to bring the song and it's awesomeness to mind before you continue.
I don't like to boast, or brag, or pretend that my taste of music is elitist or superior to other's, but in this case I just have to. The theme song to Mortal (f-ing) Kombat has been on loop for the past twenty+ minutes and I'm really feeling the burn. It reminds me of my younger years, where my sole interest was the Sega Genesis and games such as the MK series. One day, the movie came out, and my entire generation united and voiced it's love and affection for what is and forever will be the pinnacle of kick-ass. The movie sucked, sure, but at the ripe age of ten years there was absolutely nothing better. Not only that, but the movie's theme song was unprecedented. Never before had a song of such intense power and electrical fury been released on the public.
I can't possibly begin to describe how I feel when my speakers start pumping out that sweet melody, and my sub begins thumping one of the best bass beats in human history. With the yell of, 'MORTAL KOMBAT!' my heart rate doubles, my adrenal glands start grinding, and my muscles tense up ready to do whatever it is that my muscles might need to do.
When I was a kid it was even worse. The song's side effects included the delusion that my frail adolescent body could defy laws and break physical boundaries unprecedented by anyone before me. For three minutes and twenty-three seconds I'd convulse violently and uncontrollably until the song ended, or my mom would walk in and ask me what the hell I was doing.
To anyone who doesn't agree with this post verbatim, I suggest you go see a psychologist. He/she will more than likely tell you that you're screwed up and should rock out to this song every morning before you start your day.
