While sifting through the myriad of self-snapped pictures on LiveJournal, MySpace, FaceBook, WhateverTheHellElse, I've noticed a somewhat peculiar trend.
Some people take pictures of themselves in the bathroom.
No, not actually while using the bathroom, but that's the backdrop for their photos. This brings me to an equally peculiar question: Why? Why, of all the rooms in one's house, would a person decide to eternalize themselves via digital media in the bathroom?
There are a few obvious answers, of course. Such as, "The bathroom is the best lit room." or, "I don't want to show off my Spice Girls posters."
But really, why would anyone want to see your mildew encrusted shower, or your piss stained toilet seat? I plea to those guilty of this crime, please, go to another room - any room but the bathroom. Hell, if it absolutely has to be, at least make sure no one knows it's a bathroom. Camera angles work wonders!
