Disclaimer:  So not mine
A/N: Okay so I’m trying to write a multi-chapter story with this paring and since it will be my first time writing these two characters I find that writing little sentences like this really helps me get their personas down.  So here are the fifty sentences and I hope I kept them in character. Oh and though some sentences are grouped to tell a small story , some are stand alones.

1-      Temptation

Pink lips closing around a pencil, sucking on candy, chewing on a coffee stirrer made House shift on his chair and capture each nip, lick and suck for later, night, imagery.

2-      Music

Be it a piano the violin or any other musical instrument, could never compare to the dolce tones of one Robert Chase when he came shouting House’s name.

3-      Promise

When Robert Chase made the move to America he promised himself he would have a better life and stop trying to be what someone else wanted him to be.

4-      Dream

Two year later he was still trying to fulfill that dream; he hoped he would have better luck at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.

5-      Wings

The first time House meets Chase, he can’t help but compare him to a penguin; able to survive in a harsh environment and despite having wings is rendered flight less to a prison of his own making.

6-       Talent

The second time he sees Chase the boy is running some tests defying House’s instructions, and House thinks there maybe hope yet.

7-       Run

House can’t walk very fast, let alone run, but after sex with Chase he feels like he’s run a marathon; exhausted and with a high that, may well be, more addicting than Vicodin.

8-      Candle

“If you want to be treated like an adult than stop trying to be your father, who by the way you don’t even hold a candle up to,” House says stepping out into the balcony where Chase has been standing for the past hour.

9-      Hero

Chase rolls his eyes and shivers in the cold, “Yeah I should just try to be like you; the Great Gregory House, who manipulates, humiliates, shames and saves everyone in the nick of time.”

10-  Red

“Ooh that sounds like I need a superhero uniform and if that’s the case I want a red cape, with a black spandex suit oh and a mask or maybe a helmet; what do you think?”

11-  Cold

“You are impossible,” Chase states as he turns and walks back into the warmth of House’s office.

12-  Forever

Unlike Wilson, House learned the first time that marriage was a lie; he’s new philosophy for life and Chase was:  take what you can get and keep it as long as you can and don’t expect forever.

13-   Unknown

House and Chase had never officially agreed to date or be exclusive, so House blamed acid reflux for the acrid feeling in his stomach when he saw Chase’s date pick him up because there was no way it was jealousy.

14-   Box

From a young age Chase had learned to keep things secret; his mother’s illness, his sexual orientation, his resentment towards his father, that’s why keeping his and House’s “Relationship” a secret was no problem.

15-   Lock

House guarded his heart under tight lock and key; Chase silently admired Stacy for attempting to open it and pitied Cameron for trying to look for a back entrance.

16-  Mask

Chase wore many masks, House loved solving mysteries and he wondered how many layers he would have to peel back before he got to see the real Chase.

17-   Body

Unlike the many masks chase wore, there were only two layers of clothing separating skin to skin contact; Chase’s and his and the later had already been removed.

18-  Search

The sex was great the snark was like foreplay, but Chase knew this wasn’t what he was looking for or at least that’s what he told the ache in his heart when he left House’s bed in the mornings.

19-  Breathe

“I’m so fucked,” Chase breathed out as he sat heavily on his chair his face buried in his hands; the reality that he was in love with House hitting him like a train wreck.

20-  View

The first time Chase had gone out on a date the entire hospital had suffered House’s mood, the second time there wasn’t a soul with in the vicinity for House to torment.

21-  Cover

Lifting the cover of the folder House had thrown in front of him Chase raised a brow, “Well that’s really good to know.”

22-  Ice

“Yeah,” House replied icily, “the first one is my bank account; as you can see by the large sum, I haven’t been paying for sex, the second paper says I’m clean; meaning if we are to continue this I expect the same courtesy, get tested.”

23-  Wait

“What is that suppose to mean, I’m not sleeping with anyone but you,” Chase replied.

24-  Laugh

Suddenly Chase knew what House was talking about and laughed,” Kyle is a friend, I’ve been helping him pick out a wedding gift for his fiancé.”

25-  Silence

House was quiet but recovered quickly, “In that case, here,” he said throwing something at Chase who caught it reflexively.

26-  Ring

“It’s a key ring to keep the key there; I hate getting up when you knock especially if the O.C. is on,” And with that he left.

27-  Formal

“No Cameron, Robbie can’t go out and play with you and your friend, he already has a play date with me until further notice,” and that was as close as House was going to get to saying they were a couple.

28-  Hurricane

A perfect chaotic, disaster Wilson thought as he watched House and Chase together.

29-   Forgotten

It took a note on the counter saying: I need to run to my place to get some files, and change clothes see you at work; to remind House, Chase didn’t actually live with him.

30-  World

Surely the world was coming to an end Chase thought, as he hung his clothes in the space House made for him, his excuse had been “You wake me up when you get up early to go home for a change of clothes.”

31-   Overwhelmed

The tears would not stop coming no matter how hard he tried to stop them and what was  troubling him the most was the fact he didn’t know if he was crying for his father’s death or from knowing House had known and had chosen to stay silent.

32-   Midnight

The clock counted down 3, 2, 1 and it was now officially five days since the last time Chase had slept in his bed; Stacy’s max had been three days, which meant he had, more than royally, screwed up.

33-  Strength

It took all of Chase’s will power not to run into House's office and stab him with every single one of the pens and pencils the other man had shoved into his locker; because only House was immature enough to pull such a stupid prank.

34-  Talk

It took Wilson one hour to convince Chase, the pens and pencils had not been a prank but rather House’s sad, pathetic, and psychotically warped, form of apology.

35-  Hope

The next day Wilson caught a glimpse of Chase shooing Cameron away from the coffee machine to make it himself;  he smiled maybe there was hope for Chase and House.

36-  Drink

The taste of plain black coffee sliding down House’s throat, instead of hazel nut, rosemary with ginger or whatever concoction Cameron had decided to torture him with, let him know he was forgiven.

37-  Journey

Watching House sleep next to him made Chase feel weird; in a good way, never would he have imagined that through all the doors he had opened and shut, paths he had walk and stumbled through that in the end he would, just maybe, have found what he was looking for.

38-  Whisper

“I love you,” Chase whispers into House’s neck when he thinks he’s asleep.

39-  Lies

Statistically seven out of ten people lie; House knows that to be true he sees it every day, so he doesn’t say the words back out of fear of being one of the seven.

40-  Eclipse.

At least the psycho isn’t going to hurt Chase and suddenly it’s like an eclipse and all House can see is Chase’s face and he thinks that if he can have him for the rest of his life he’ll die happy.

41-  Gravity

The realization that his wish is about to come true doesn’t convey until the bullet finds his neck.

42-  Fall

And as he falls gracelessly to the floor he sees Chase get this funny, startled look, as if he just saw someone die and his last thought, before he succumbs to darkness, is that he doesn’t want Chase to be sad because of him.

43-  Silk

House has been awake for one hour the noise in the hospital in annoying but Chase’s sleeping head on his chest is warm and all he can think about is, silk, as he runs his fingers through his lover’s hair.

44-  Highway

House expresses himself through action, when he throws the motorcycle keys to Chase and says, “Just don’t kill us,”  Chase is speechless a wide smile tugs at his lips and he clutches the keys; which are now a physical symbol of House’s trust.

45-  Fire

Giving the now scorched wooden spoon an accusatory glare, he hears Chase sigh before saying, “Just don’t try to cook again.”

46-  Fever

House thinks that perhaps he’s a bacteria and Chase is an open wound because every time he touches Chase, the younger man’s skin becomes fever hot.

47-  Dance

At the fund raiser House makes a face at the awful taste in music and secretly sends jealous looks over to Cameron and hates her for doing something he cannot do with Chase.

48-  Sacred

There are only a handful of things Chase holds dear to his heart; House whispering “I love you,” has just topped them all.

49-  Memory

Chase’s clothes is mixed in with his, his chewed pencil liter the coffee table, his coat hangs in the rack next to his, Chase's hair products monopolize the bathroom surfaces, the kitchen has seen more use than House ever thought possible.

50-  Farewell

And as he stands in the midst, surveying the chaos, he cannot for the life of him remember what it used to be like without Chase and it’s, “I’m home! “ he hears Chase call out;  a good feeling.
