A Separate Peace

Isn't it loverly?"Lovely" and "relaxing" are two words that can describe this past Easter weekend, with no books, no papers and no websites. I feel very much centered and focused. My resumé, which hadn't been updated since the beginning of fall semester, has been completely reworked with current accomplishments and has been condensed to the requisite one page. I had the opportunity to spend time and attend Mass with my family, something that I had not done since Christmas. I caught up on a lot of sleep, a rare opportunity, and I watched "Stage Beauty", "Cellular" and "Shark Tale" on DVD. Although I did not go out as much as I hoped, all the time spent just snuggling cozily in my bed has been worthwhile.

Now I am focused and am ready to tackle this week's challenges. With much thanks and gratitude to primoscrilla, I had been selected as February's student leader of the month for OSAL for my contribution to ODU, which I believe is a shared effort. So thank you to everyone who has helped me make positive strides. I have a whole stack of job position info I've amassed from Monster.com that I will plow through in addition to contemplating the financial feasibility of an out-of-area/state job. Several new positions have opened up in the Hampton Roads area that sound promising, including one at NASA-Langley. So, this week will be dedicated to licking stamps and sending out resumés.

This summer, from June 18-June 26, my family is headed down to Disney World in Florida for the first time. I've been to SeaWorld in California, but never to Disney World, so this trip will be very exciting. Hopefully Terry Schiavo will be alive and well, God bless.
