Korea

So it's been a week since I came back from Korea and there is a reason why I didn't update while in Korea... I was just too tired!! And just relaxing ha ha. So, sorry for the lack of correct order of things :) I won't date it an just say!

I remember the first day in Korea, we had landed that afternoon with some delay. We had taken a low cost carrier which was cheap I guess, considering the time we went. The plane journey itself wasn't very smooth as there were times that it was bumpy and just plain heart-in-the-throat scary! I'm a bit of a wimp but hey when you're flying however many thousand miles in the air and have no control over your journey. Then yeah, it's a bit scary.
The plane was playing all different versions of kpop, Teen Top song is the one I can remember the most clearly because well.,,, I don't know. There were a lot of Koreans on the plane so I guess there are a lot of Koreans who vacation or do programmes in Malaysia. I guess I sound surprised because well I didn't know. Not many, if any of my (few) Korean friends have been Malaysia or that haven't told me they have.
My friend and I were seated separately from each other, well it was kind of together but they were both aisle seats. So we were separated by an aisle. There was some fuss as it seemed some Koreans had their seats double booked. I have no idea how that is possible but there were two sets of Koreans over certain seats. It was solved by I guess just moving them to their "correct" seats.
So, we landed in Korea and the airport was huge! Like, wow fancy! It's very pretty ^^ my friend had come to te airport to pick us up (thank you so much T^T) and I am thankful as we would have most likely gotten lost on the subway station. Unfortunately we had avoided exchanging any money evacuee airport rates can be very low but I guess what's a few pounds right? Well we don't think that. So there was a hot of a huddle and huddle as we tried to get to the subway but their card machine wasn't working and we had to take the express train.

Word of advice a'rex is their "subway" and cheaper route and a'rex express is the express train which shaves off ten minutes from your journey. If anything, get the airport limousine where you can just Baird the bus and air and relax as it's direct to the Incheon airport.

We got our money changed at seoul station, its one of their largest stations. i guess you can kind of call it their King's Cross. The KTX which is their high speed over ground to other cites such as Busan can be taken from there. there are two exchange places which is an escalator ride so you can try and see compare prices. The struggle with our suitcases was just hilarious, I am never taking such a big suitcase to Korea again, I don't care if I'm going to get scanned at the airport but I need a smaller suitcase :( and there were so many steps and hills, ugh, my shoulder aches thinking about it. Really!
Our hostel is called kpop guesthouse, it does play kpop but at the convenience of the guests. They turn in the tv and choose which music videos they want playing. We checked into our room, it's tiny but i guess sharing between two people which isn't two singles or a double bed. Yeah, it'll be tiny.
We had our first dinner in Korea and unfortunately since I don't eat beef, we had vegetable soup. It was delicious either way but I'm sure for you beef lovers you would have preferred beef. It was spicy, tangy and refreshing. My friend had tutoring to do so we spend the evening waking around a bit and then back to our hostel room.

End of day 1
