False alarm
Okay, so I called Ft. Bragg. I'm not being deployed yet. The 352nd is picking up people from all over the country, and, as of now, I'm sitting on a list with a couple hundred other people. We're just waiting. I have as much chance now as I did before of going to the sand box.
Humph. Well, now I'm in trouble financially, but I'll be getting a job and re-enrolling for spring semester of school. Until then I'll be chilling (and I do mean chilling. It's cold and SNOWING here) in Michigan with my family, some old friends, and some new friends. And, believe me. This is better than the desert. Even with the tornado that was coming right at us yesterday and dissapated just before it hit us. Even with the snow in November (which isn't too unusual for Michigan). Even with my poor sissy sick in bed and me babysitting the 6 little ones. Even the INCREDIBLE financial problems I'm going to have now.
Hey, I get to stay in the land of the free. I get to live in my own house in my own bed. I get to see my friends. And, best of all, I get an excuse to spend more time with my family...during the holidays. Super kudo bonus time this is.
