Wow. yuletide seems really daunting to try and organize as well as participate. I might be able to write in 2 fandoms (and only just) but three is totally out of the realm. :-)

I've been wanting to figure out how to write some Eastern Promises slash myself, FPS or RPS I don't care. I feel like it would be easier for me to do RPS but the characters are so much more intriguing to me.

Apparently yuletide uses an algorithm that does the majority of the matchups for them, although I doubt that makes the organizational steps any less onerous. ^_~

And as a participant, you only write one story in one fandom, but you have to have a large enough repertoire to be willing to write that story in one of a group of fandoms you've chosen. I figured it'd be pretty daunting to find more than a couple fandoms I could write in too, but after consulting the master list of nominated fandoms for this year (subject to change as they clean it up), I came up with an initial list of fandoms I could take a stab at that's close to three pages long. I'll cut it down some more -- probably remove all the comedy-based fandoms, as I don't feel as comfortable trying to hit/mimic comedic tones -- but I know as long as I'm careful, I'm going to have a good list of what I feel I can write ( ... )
