*WARNING! CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T SEEN SPN'S SEASON 4 - EPISODE 21 (THE NEXT TO LAST EPI)*
"When the Levee Breaks"
I thought this episode was mind-blowingly awesome!
It was sad seeing Sam hallucinating from demon-blood withdrawal.
It was like he was at war with himself. It was hard watching Sam hallucinating Dean saying all those hurtful things.
I felt bad for him. I felt bad for Dean too. He would do anything to save Sammy's soul
, but it just seems like nothing he's doing will work. Then again, keeping him in the demon-proof panic room might have worked, but we'll never know thanks to Castiel. I can't believe he let Sam out!
Being cold to Dean was bad, then he goes and releases Sam and turns in Anna. I am ticked off at him now.
So Dean gave himself to God and the angels. With what Cas did, that seems like it might have been a bad idea. The only reason he did it was so Sammy wouldn't have to stop Lilith, since Cas said Sam drinking enough demon blood to kill her would more or less equal him becoming the next big bad for the good guys to kill. And then Cas releases Sam knowing Sam is going to go after Lilith. It seems Cas didn't really care about Sam becoming evil at all, just telling Dean whatever he needed to to ensure that Dean signed up to be the angels' b****.
What the heck is going on with Castiel?!
Sam seems lost and feeding in to whatever Ruby tells him.
I don't think she is telling him the complete truth about Lilith breaking the final seal. I want Ruby dead, and I want her dead yesterday!
I love when Dean says killing Ruby is the next big item on his to-do list. And Bobby says "I thought you were on call for angel duty?" Then Dean says "I am on call, in my car, on my way to murder the b****!" Damn straight!
I hope Ruby dies, and Dean's the one who kills her!
The final scene with Sam and Dean was intense and incredibly heart-breaking.
I hate that Sam thinks he needs Ruby because she is poison like Dean said. It was good that they finally admitted how they feel though, even if it was hard to watch. Sam finally told Dean that he thinks he is too weak to stop Lilith. Dean finally said that Sam knowing what he's doing with drinking demon blood and everything makes him a monster. You could see the pain in both of their eyes when Dean said that. It hurt so much seeing them fighting. When Sam was choking Dean, I thought for a second he wasn't going to stop. I couldn't even breathe. And then Sam said to Dean, "You don't know me. You never did, and you never will." And Dean tells him, "If you walk out that door, don't you ever come back." And Sam leaves anyway.
I was completely heartbroken for the both of them. I'll keep hoping that they will eventually forgive each other, but I don't see it happening too soon.
So here's a few thought's that didn't seem to fit in anywhere else:
Lilith eating babies is completely sickening. Just evil. *shudders*
I
Bobby for being there for Dean and Sam. I could tell how much it hurt him to have to point a gun at Sam. And I absolutely loved when he said "Suck dirt and die" to Rufus.
It sucks that some angels are just as untrustworthy as demons.
I love that after Bobby says Dean shouldn't trust the angels, Dean says the angels are like "shady politicians from Planet Vulcan."
When Dean asks Cas what happened to him in IL and asks if he got "a**-reamed in heaven", I was like "What?!"
That was so blunt that I can't help wondering if I heard him right.
It was really cool seeing Wee!Sam and Mama Winchester talking to Sam, even though they were hallucinations. I was happy to see them both.
I know this is a long post, but I just have to say Jared did an outstanding job!
Jensen did an amazing job!
Jim and Misha were awesome as well!
