and the countdown starts
went to the doctor today, and had an i.e. (internal exam, when the doctor sticks two fingers up you to check if your cervix is dilating) and boom! dilated, 1 cm. YAY!
i know it's nothing big (considering i have to be 10 cm dilated to give birth) but just being this one step closer to holding my baby is exciting.
i could stay like this for a week or so, before i go into actual labor (what i'm in now is called early labor) and i'm still going to go to work on monday, but it's just so... exciting. once my water breaks, i just need to alert dave, grab my hospital bag, and i'm off to the hospital. going in with a bump, coming out with a baby. it's just so weird, in the best sense possible.
however, this does not erase the fact that i am sore and am beginning to feel ramona's weight deep down in my belly. finding a comfy position to sit in is getting increasingly difficult.
but i'm just so happy.
