i've become very opinionated lately on rode_jurk's lj. i'm not usually so combative (or am i and i've just forgotten?) or so loud about my beliefs, but it really just rubs me the wrong way when strange voyeurs suddenly appear out of nowhere and begin to tell you what you've done wrong or right. when do people take a simple journal entry and begin

oh come on cherry! i love you to iti-tiny bits and pieces, but really, maybe one of the reasons why "this country isnt going anywhere" is because a lot of people think of it as NOT going anywhere. the Peso is doing quite fine and fighting against the dollar and that should count for something. we've had roll backs in gasoline prices and by golly we were overall champs at the sea games! (i was at the parade too!) maybe a little optimism would help.

and on judging other people, i'm still reluctant to shop at places like ukay-ukay or greenhills, or some other tiangge at that, simply because i know that these stall owners don't pay a lot of taxes compared to those who are at the mall, who are trying their best to be competitive in the market. its not a matter of elitism, but more of principle. and i got caught myself in a totally baseless situation by a traffic officer, but instead of offering money i gave my license and sorted it out. i dont swerve, never parked where i'm not allowed or supposed to, and make sure that my car's still registered.

i guess, FOR ME, its okay to point blame where THERE REALLY is blame, but that doesnt mean i'll stop there. i just want to let people know what they did was WRONG and that rules are created for a reason.
