(no subject)
i just had a chit-chat with one of my co-workers, and she asked if i was doing a lot of prep for classes (i.e. making materials, manual labor, etc.) and i replied that i wasn't. i've been spending a lot of time in the classroom with the kids, motly helping those who are a bit slow with the alphabet and stuff. in fact, i'm quite proud of the kids i work with, they're making a lot of progress. anyway, she then asks me if it's because i'm pregnant.
now, i've never been one to whine or anything, and i can still pull my weight around. for some reason, that question put me off. i doubt she meant anything from it, moreso anything malicious to suggest that i'm using my belly as an excuse to get out of work. but that's the impression i got. and it ticks me off.
anyway... maybe i'll go make something fantastically big and flaunt it when she's around, just so she won't get any ideas.
