I've always thought of myself as a very open-minded person. So why do I feel shocked that when I imagined the type of person I want to be with(personal ad...desperate, much?)that I imagined a woman? Maybe because at 29 years old I have only ever thought about marriage as being man and woman(at least for me). I've always thought that people should

The thing is I've always KNOWN that when it comes to other people. I've never even remotely thought that people shouldn't be allowed to marry regardless of sex, and in fact am a strong supporter of gay and lesbian rights, including the right to marry and adopt kids. It's just that I've always had this vision of the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, and he was DEFINITELY a he. It doesn't shock me that I am attracted to women, I always have been(Angelina Jolie in tomb raider...drooooool) but its more like...for me marriage could INCLUDE another woman(a threesome, either casually or even as a permanent part of the relationship), but I never thought of myself as being married to a woman. I think the biggest part of this that shocks me is...well in a weird way it's my shock that I am shocked at all. I would never have thought I'd have this kind of reaction. But the more I think about it, the more I am thinking that being in a permanent stable relationship with another woman might just be the best thing that ever happens to me.
I've always thought that love, real love, transcended such things as age, race, and gender. Now I'm starting to think its time to practice what I preach.

Of course it does, and life is about experimentation, I would start slow at first, date another woman and see how it feels. I have been a few poly relationships where the girl is bi and it worked fine for the most part, with any relationship, communication is the key. Just take it easy and have fun, cause that is what is all about.
