Nicole and Megan came over to watch movies and bring in the New Year. We exchanged Christmas gifts, I got a Tshirt and a picture frame(two things of which you cannot have enough of! :D)We watched Napoleon Dynamite and ate some food. Then we went to my room and watched funny videos on the internet, and listened to some music. Then we watched MTV's thing for awhile, and watched the ball drop. Meg started to feel sick so she left, hope she's feeling better. Nicole and I stayed up till about 3 watching Pimp my Ride and I love the 90s. We were awakened at about 9 so we didn't get a lot of sleep. We watched more of I love the 90s and then Made. After she headed home I tried to get online and was surprised to find that something had happened to our connection, and it's out. So I am desperate and on dial up now! Should be fixed Monday I hope.
We went to Christmas on my mom's side. It is nice to see family, don't get me wrong, but it is just overwhelming to have that many people in that small of space(my mom is one of nine, eight of them were there plus their kids, and even some of them have kids). I got to hold one of my cousin Stacie's babies. She had twins, named Brayden and Kayden. Funny, I want to name my kid Aidan. Eh, it doesn't matter we aren't that close, it isn't like I'm copying. Anyways I held Kayden, and he was a squirmy little kid. Just one of those energy filled babies. They're both cute though. But Jason showed up at like 3:30 and I was wanting to head out at about 4:45 but that didn't happen, and we left at about 5.
Scene-me in my brother's car, he's driving. Roads are slick because of the rain, he's being a show off boy. I keep my mouth shut because I know he would've gotten mad if I told him to slow down. So we are driving along, and he isn't sure of how to get home, so I am telling him. Well there is part of the road that curves, however there is another part of the road that goes straight. Jason is heading straight, but we need to turn. So I say, gently mind you, "Jason" and gesture to the turn. My thinking was he'd hit the brakes, back up and take the turn. Nope...he takes the turn. Loses control of the car, and we're sliding sideways, next thing I know we're in a field. Stuck. Stuck because of all of the rain and the field is mud. I immediately start shaking, thinking how lucky we were. I am glad the mud stopped us, I was scared we'd flip over. Now that I think of it, we're lucky there wasn't a phone pole, because that would've hurt at the speed we were going. Anyways Jason called dad, and he came from my grandma's house to take us home and get his truck. I got out of the car when dad got there, and began the trudge to the other car. I was wearing my precious A3 cushion shoes that I <3. So those mixed with several inches of mud, I stepped out and just started crying. My shoe got stuck in the field so I had to pry it out and walk the rest of the way with my sock.
I was still shaking and was really upset when we got home. I have been in wrecks before, but this was different because I wasn't driving, it wasn't in my control. When you drive, especially with other people, you've got to be careful and think about things. Oh well it could've been worse. So about an hour after dad and Jason took the truck to free his car I got a call. Genius Jason locked his keys in his car so I had to get the spare and take my car out in a combination of things I hate(rain, fog, and night time) and deliver him his keys. He's more blonde than me I swear. I've never locked my keys in my car(but once he locked my keys in my car)
So anyways, the next important thing was my mom saying that I was partially at fault for Jason's mishap. I got so angry. My goodness that kid gets away with so much. Probably because he's the baby, but I am not responsible for his bad judgement. She finally admitted it wasn't my fault but I still think she blames me a little.
I washed my shoes, and they look to be ok. :D
