I asked her, "Who are you? WHat are you about?" She replied, "Passion. Passion for knowledge and what is natural." Me, I think I'm about compassion. Compassion for people. I think that's right. I do think all acts are selfish. However, I don't think selfish always has a negative connotation. If you think about it, the natural order of the world requires selfishness to run smoothly. Whenever you do something good for someone you feel good about it on some level. That's a "selfish" thing because it benefits the self. But I think that there's a reason we get selfish satisfaction in doing good for others. Because that's what we're supposed to do.
