B- in Spanish 231. That's what I get for not taking it pass/fail, second guessing myself, and going with "Graded Basis" on the last day. I feel like the grades in all of my spanish classes have been determined by random dartboard-style selection. I've put about equal quality work, perfect attendance, and decent participation into all of them, yet have come out with a C, an A, and a B-, in the three respective courses.

I got a B in Vietnam cause it was one of those history classes where that was the best you could do, regardless of how much work you put in. I wrote a 6-page essay with tons of supporting evidence for the midterm, and in about 25 minutes no less, and the GSI grading it made a bullet list of 16+ things I could have said in addition to what I had already written, apparently without consideration for time constraints.

I got an A in my other two classes, because they were both pretty easy, and I had them figured out from the start.

Grades don't mean shit though. I need something to do with my summer now that school is over. I had second thoughts about working at the airport, and commuting, and ridiculous gas prices, and not coming out enough ahead to make it worth it, so I haven't accepted the job or even followed up on it, because it's seeming less and less feasible. I just kind of applied at the time because I hadn't any other options.

Last night I filled out the online app to work at Best Buy. John, this guy in the apt. downstairs, works there, he says starting pay is good, you get 5% discount on in-store merch, and he got promoted really quickly. That sounds good. I might have to get a 2nd job too, depending on how many hours I can get there. I might look for some night work or something. We'll see.

Oh, and I haven't updated this livejournal thing in about a month. Hello again Livejournal!
