I just received the an early Christmas present from Nona.  It's The Princess Bride 20th Anniversary DVD... and it came bundled with a hardback copy of the 30th anniversary edition of the book, which is the best pirate book ever.

And in the book's new introduction lies the most glorious news...

Fezzik lives!

(SPOILER ALERT!)

The 25th anniversary edition of the book contained the first chapter of Buttercup's Baby, and Fezzik's death... well...

Dammit, I'm not ashamed!  I bawled!  Burn saw it!  It was horrible!  I practically went into mourning!

But now, five years later, I find out that Fezzik survived!  Apparently he gets saved by a giant bird!  After five years of being sad every time I thought of poor Fezzik, he lives!

IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!

And now I really can't wait for the sequel!  Goldman promises that it'll be out soon!

And yeah, I cried again when I found out he made it!  Wanna make something of it!?!?
