OMG. Now, after I've read the article and seen the photos and known whicn actors are involved, I've lost any hope in this production. It would take long to explain this but I know this one will never be a good one for a Russian viewer.
well, you see, for a foreign viewer it's not going to make a difference what actors are involved and what the background of this production is, but for us here the old SH films is a sensitive topic

There is of course a new Russian television series being filmed http://www.sherlocknews.com/2011/12/tv-new-russian-sherlock-holmes.html, although they are sticking to canon era.
