Or Hop-tu-Naa if that's your thing http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-isle-of-man-15337057 Certainly growing up in Scotland we never saw a pumpkin, but made lanterns out of turnips/swedes like those shown from the ancient Celtic festival still celebrated on the Isle of Man today. :-)
